We want you to feel right at home when you move in, whether that's streaming your favourite shows or FaceTiming your friends. But that means you're going to need Wi-Fi!
To connect to Wi-Fi using ASK4 in your accommodation
Your internet provider as a resident in halls is ASK4, and you will be given advice on how to connect to their service on arrival. There will also be posters on how to connect in reception.
Get connected in your accommodation:
- Connect to ASK4 Wifi / ASK4 Wireless
- Go to signup.ask4.com
- Select 'Create Account' (for residents) or 'Temporary Access' (for visitors)
- Follow the Signup process
To add additional devices:
- On your new device, connect to ASK4 WiFi / ASK4 Wireless (or via cable to wall port if available) and log into myaccount.ask4.com
- Click on 'enable this device'
No web browser? No problem! You can also add your device's MAC address at myaccount.ask4.com to get connected.

To connect to Wi-Fi using Eduroam on campus
1. Forget eduroam Wi-Fi if you've previously used it
If you've connected to eduroam Wi-Fi on your devices before, the app might not install correctly until you click 'forget network' in your settings.
2. Set up eduroam using eduroam CAT
- On your phone, tablet or laptop, open your web browser: Go to cat/eduroam.org/
- Click on the button to install and follow the instructions
- Enter your full University email address, username@student.le.ac.uk, as the username and enter your password

If you are unable to get eduroam CAT to work, you can access the manual instructions:
- Connect to the Setup-UniOfLeic-Wifi network on your device
- Go to wifi.le.ac.uk for instructions on how to set up your device
- Enter your full University email address, username@student.le.ac.uk, as the username and enter your password
To connect to Wi-Fi using The Cloud on campus
Visitor Wi-Fi is provided by The Cloud (Sky Wi-Fi)
- On your laptop, tablet or phone, connect to _The Cloud network
- A web browser should open to allow your to register or login (if you have already registered with The Cloud).
- If a web browser does not appear, open your preferred web browser and navigate to any web page. The Cloud landing page should open.
