As part of our acknowledgment of Chinese New Year, we’ll start by showing House of Flying Daggers. This film is a visually lavish wuxia romance directed by Zhang Yimou, and set in 859 AD Tang Dynasty China. It features a star-studded cast—Zhang Ziyi, Andy Lau, and Takeshi Kaneshiro—in a tragic, high-stakes story of betrayal, love, and revolution.
